Tessa video

Carter here again. Here's some video of the first few minutes. Sorry it kind of drags on while mommy is holding her baby, but I couldn't bring myself to cut out any of that scene -- it was all too cute.

I love how Tessa stops crying the second they hand her off to her parents... soooo adorable, and she looks so alert and amazed by her new life! All my love to you all!

She is beautiful! Way to go Kelly. I was just waiting for her to say something, she looked like she could have said volumes! Can't wait to see her this summer!

Congratulations to the Durham family!! Tessa is beautiful and fits right in with her sisters. She looks like them all. This video is precious - it almost (almost) makes me want to have another baby! I love the admiration in her eyes for her mommy. I think Tessa and mom will be tight! Way to go!

Happy Birthday, Tessa! She is so beautiful! I've watched this video three times already and I'm not even related. I just love her long pretty finger nails, and those big beautiful eyes. And you can totally tell how much she loves her mama! Congratulations Durhams! Lots of love from Texas coming your way!

Ahhhh...I get teary eyed just watching that! Giving birth and meeting your little one for the first time is such a tender moment. All of it is such a miracle!! Congratulations to all of you. Your family is now complete! Welcome Tessa Kate!! You are adorable with your beautiful big eyes and black hair. I hope the new family of six is quickly adjusting.

My Favorite Chloe-isms

"Sorry we're late. We were playing this really, really, really fun game. It's like time stopped....just for us..."

"I do bath stories. I'm a bath story mastermind." Chloe, convincing me that she should go entertain her bathing sisters.
"We'll just have to remind them to remove the singing robots." Chloe, as Carter tried to convince her she shouldn't be afraid to ride Splash Mountain when we visit Disneyland this month.
"I hate my math book. It poisons my mind." Chloe, after being asked to complete her math homework.
"I had such a rough day that I think I'm going to die of roughness." Chloe, reflecting on a tough day at school that included a recess injury that required a visit from Mom.
"Whew! I have such a headache from using my brain all day!" Chloe, upon completing her homework after school.
"This land is free. But you don't let me be free!" Chloe, upon being denied access to a television program.
"I've had the fear of silence since I was three years old." No doubt!
"You might need to know Sadie needs more practice at that." Chloe, to her Aunt Katie after Sadie was told to be patient while Katie was driving.
"These sleeves are not pleasing to me." Chloe, trying on a dress with her aunt.
"Is Santa aware? It's not like I'm going for a coal collection." Chloe, after being told she could stay up past her bedtime at a sleepover party at her aunt's house.

The PA had to leave the room he was laughing so hard. He said it is definitely one of the Top Ten funniest things he's heard a kid say during his tenure in the office.
"Sure, I know what that is--a celebration with pies!" Chloe, when asked what a "python" is.
"I can't help it. I'm a 'why' person." Chloe, explaining why she has to follow everything I tell her to do with 1.5 million questions.
"Whoa! Tessa just did a firework of spit-up!" Chloe, describing her sister's gastrointestinal distress.
"Uh, Piper, do you know about cops?" Chloe, in response to Piper's request that Carter drive the car faster.
"I know. I'm a wild animal. You should take me to the forest now." Chloe, after she accidently banged into Tessa and was told she was being too wild (both Chloe and baby were bawling when this was uttered).
"Too bad you have to love your enemies." Chloe, after a lesson on the Beatitudes.
"Mommy, I can't go to sleep because a bad thing is worrying me. Is Mad Cow Disease contagious?" Chloe, calling from her bed.
"I hate cleaning up. Cleaning is NOT awesome!" Chloe, on picking up toys.
"Can I have some cinnamon on this? [Vanilla yougurt] tastes a little silly without cinnamon." ~Chloe's request at lunch.
"Please bless that Piper can be even gooder." Chloe, in prayer
"I'm so glad I have a mommy who is powerful." Uttered by Chloe after I replaced the batteries in a previously non-functioning toy.
